Adolf Busch (1891-1952) was a German-Swiss violinist, composer and conductor. He was the founder of several chamber orchestras both in Germany and Switzerland. After World War I, he founded the Busch Quartet, which was in existence with varying personnel until 1951 and included Rudolf Serkin. In 1939 when the Nazis began their rise to power, he then emigrated to the United States. 

Translated Russell Stockman. Foreword by Ernst Gombrich. Includes letters by Adolf Busch between the years 1906-1952, along with remembrances, a chronology of his life and material about the Busch Quartet. Some b&w photos and illustrations throughout the text. Published in an edition of 600 copies, and quite scarce.

Near Fine in clean bright wrappers. Binding is square and tight.
