At Night the States

Book Measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Cover and drawings by George Schneeman. The title poem At Night the States is an elegy for Ted Berrigan, written two years after his death. At Night the States is among Notley's most famous works. The book contains many other shorter poems by Notley which mourn her recently lost partner. A beautiful book, and one of Notley's scarcest volumes of verse, even though it was published in the late 80s.
