Circus Days and Nights
Robert Lax
First Edition, 2000. 188 pages.
Book measures 6.25 x 9.25 inches. Edited and with a lengthy introduction by Paul J. Spaeth, curator of the Lax Archives at St. Bonaventure University. Lax’s fascination with the circus had taken root and in 1950 he traveled through western Canada with the Cristiani family, observing and absorbing their world. In 1951 Lax again traveled with a circus, this time in Italy, and the result of this experience is the never-before-published “Voyage to Pescara.”
