This book contains two bodies of work by Ishimoto: a series of color abstractions experimenting with multiple exposures, and black and white photographs of flowers. Ishimoto was based in Chicago for many years, and studied at the New Bauhaus / Institute of Design. This color work done in the late 1950s was at the forefront of medium, and his work was especially experimental in exploring possibilities. This monograph is one of the few available sources of this work, and quite scarce.
