A comprehensive collection of work by Chin-San Long which includes his landscapes, composite photographs, nude studies, color works, sill life, and other images. Includes a foreword and a long text about his work, both written by Long. At the back of the book are numerous articles reprinted from different photography magazines and publications about his work. These are in various languages and contain many additional reproductions. A valuable resource on this fascinating artist. 

Signed with an inscription by Chin-San Long on the title page. Very Good in solid binding. Dust jacket show light edge wear with a few closed ticks along top edge of cover. Scarce.

Chin-san Long was a pioneering photographer and one of the first Chinese photojournalists. He led a prolific career, and has been called "indisputably the most prominent figure in the history of Chinese art photography", and the "Father of Asian Photography". His experiments in composite photography of printing multiple negatives is unique not only in its exploration of the photographic medium in its earlier stages, but also in his practice of photography rooted in the tradition of Chinese landscape painting.
