Osip Mandelstam
First Edition, 1979. 725 pages.
Edited by Jane Gary Harris. Translated by Jane Gary Harris and Constance Link. An essential volume, and comprehensive collection of Mandelstam's writing, most of which never saw the light of day during his lifetime. Sections include: Early Essays (1910–early 1920s); Early Reviews (1913–1916); Essays (1920-1925); Reviews; Memoirs, Vignettes, Reportage (1922–1923); Essays, Sketches, Polemics, Forewords (1926–early 1930s); Internal Reviews (late 1920s–early 1930s); Major Prose Works of the 1930s; Letters (100 in this volume).
Very Good+ in red leatherette, with gilt stamped spine lettering. Binding is square and tight. Top edge of text block shows a very faint speckle of foxing. Otherwise Near Fine. A very sharp copy. Lacking the clear glassine dust jacket.
