Voices of the Collected Lady: Collected Poems

Voices of the Collected Lady: Collected Poems

Stuart Z. Perkoff

First Edition, 1998. 473 pages.

Book measures 6 x 9 inches. Edited and with an introduction by Gerald T. Perkoff. Preface by Robert Creeley. This volume brings together for the first time one of the great lost masterworks of 20th Century American poetry. Stuart Z. Perkoff was the archetypal, Beat poet, the central figure in the Venice West branch of this movement, where he lived within a maelstrom of jazz, sex, and rugs, and where he dies in 1974, at age 43.

Many of Perkoff's poems were published in small magazines and a few slim collections during his lifetime. This volume, edited by Perkoff's brother, brings together the full scope of his work, with a large material of previously unpublished work.

Fine in clean bright wrappers.
